308 Engine


The engine of the Peugeot 308 is a Turbocharged Inline-4 with a cubic capacity of 1598 CC. Engine is a roar with the 218 bhp along with a torque of 207 lb-ft that is packed into it. The Diesel Engine for the Peugeot 308 is supplied by the famous Robert Bosch GmbH. The Peugeot 308’s Prototype Engine was displayed at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in 2007.
The Peugeot 308 comes with 6 gear manual transmission and the maximum speed of 235 km/h is attained in its sixth gear and it takes only 7.0 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. The in-gear acceleration is impressive taking only 7.5 seconds to speed up from 80-120 km/h in 5th gear. The new series of the Peugeot is known to reduce fuel consumption by 58% in the Urban Drive Cycle compared to a standard 308 HDi. The fuel consumption is very reasonable with 6.7 liters per100 km in the combined cycle.
The introduction of the new HDi DPFS technology of the model is in accordance with the spirit of the car, emitting just 90g/km of CO2 thus reducing harmful emissions.
